Eagles, Fairview team up for hunt
FAIRVIEW — The Fairview/Troutdale Eagles, in partnership with the city of Fairview, is hosting its first annual Easter egg hunt, starting at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 22, for children ages 1 to 12 at Fairview Community Park, next to city hall at 1300 N.E. Village St. Come and see Thor, the Fairview Police Department’s new police dog, who will be on hand to meet and greet the kids.
Special rewards include a tour of the Fairview Police Station and lunch with the police chief, a ride in a police car or in a limousine, and many more. The event will be held rain or shine, so join in the fun.
All-you-can-eat at Glenn Otto Park
TROUTDALE — An all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast and a free Easter egg hunt will be held from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday, March 22, at Glenn Otto Community Park, 1106 E. Historic Columbia River Highway. There will be candy for all egg finders and a special treat for children who find the golden eggs. Bunny Bonanza at Blue Lake Park
FAIRVIEW — Celebrate spring with the family at Blue Lake Regional Park’s Bunny Bonanza, which will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, March 22. The egg hunts are divided by age groups, with ages 2 to 4 starting at 10:30 a.m. and children ages 5 to 10 starting at 11 a.m.
Bunny Bonanza is free with regular park admission of $4 per car, $7 per bus or an annual park pass. Nearly all of the park facilities are wheelchair-accessible. Bunny visits Wood Village
WOOD VILLAGE — The Easter Bunny will make a special appearance by helicopter at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, March 22, at Wood Village’s 20th Annual Easter Egg Hunt in Donald L. Robertson City Park, 24300 N.E. Egg hunt features basket prizes
BORING — It’s a fun, free day of egg hunting for toddlers through age 10 starting at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 22, at Naas Elementary School, 12240 S.E. School Ave. There will be an Easter basket prize for each age group. The age categories are 0-2; 3-4; 5-6; 7-8; and 9-10.
The event is sponsored by the Gresham Earlyrisers Kiwanis Club and the Gresham High School Key Club.
Easter eggs with St. Paul’s Church
DAMASCUS — St. Paul of Damascus Lutheran Church, at 24510 S.E. Highway 212, will hold its Easter egg hunt from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, March 22. The event is aimed at children from pre-kindergarten to the sixth grade.
Maywood city to host egg hunt
MAYWOOD — Maywood’s annual Easter egg hunt will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 22, at the corner of Northeast Maywood Place and Northeast Failing Street. Volunteers are needed for egg stuffing from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 19, and for hiding eggs at 9:30 a.m. on the morning of the hunt. Meet the Easter Bunny and his pals at Oregon Humane Society
PORTLAND — The Oregon Humane Society welcomes the Easter Bunny to its shelter from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, March 23. Visitors can also meet the Easter Bunny’s friends at the shelter and learn from the experts about the joy of owning pet rabbits. The shelter is at 1067 N.E. Rabbit Romp hosted at Oregon Zoo
PORTLAND — The Oregon Zoo welcomes spring with its annual Rabbit Romp, a day of egg and candy hunts, petting zoos, Easter-themed animal exhibitions and games from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 22. The event is free with regular admission.
The zoo hopes to focus attention on the endangered Washington pygmy rabbit, which is North America’s smallest rabbit. The zoo has successfully bred and released these rabbits back into the wild, bringing them back from the brink of extinction. The zoo is at 4001 S.W. Canyon Road.
