The Gresham area branch of the American Association of University Women (AAUW) will offer a salary negotiation workshop for women from noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 24, in the Town and Gown Room at Mt. Hood Community College, 26000 S.E. Stark St.
AAUW studies have found that women tend to earn less money than men, possibly due to gender differences in salary negotiation. Workshop participants will learn tips for negotiating their salaries and narrowing the pay gap. Sam Imperati, executive director of the Institute for Conflict Management, and Deborah Bond, certified public accountant, will facilitate the workshop. Light refreshments will be served.
