Regina “Gina” Ray Mewing
July 27, 1945-Feb. 25, 2009
Former Fairview resident Regina “Gina” Ray Mewing, 63, died Wednesday, Feb. 25, at her home in Estacada.
A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 7, at Bateman Carroll Funeral Home, 520 W. Powell Blvd.
Gina was born July 27, 1945, in Portland to George and Erma B. (Taylor) Andersen. She was raised in Fairview and graduated from Reynolds High School.
On May 2, 1964, she married Earl Mewing.
Gina was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband; son, Scott Mewing of Molalla; brothers, Jim Andersen of Wamic and Gary Andersen of Ogden, Utah; and three grandchildren.

Gordon “Lego” Grant Hohman III
Dec. 15, 2008-Feb. 25, 2009
Gresham resident Gordon “Lego” Grant Hohman III, 2 months, died Wednesday, Feb. 25, at his home.
A memorial service was held Saturday, Feb. 28, at Sandy Funeral Home.
Gordon was born Dec. 15, 2008, in Gresham to Grant and Amber (Roby) Hohman. He touched many hearts in his short life and will be missed.
Survivors include his parents; sister, Evelynn Hohman of Gresham; grandparents, Denis and Nancy Thiessen of Sandy, Gordon and Carol Hohman of Oregon City, Jacque Cato of Anchorage, Alaska, and Mitch Cato of British Columbia, Canada; and great-grandparents, George and Adelia Hassett of Sandy.

Carl Eugene Ruddell
Jan. 28, 1928-Feb. 19, 2009
Former Gresham resident Carl Eugene Ruddell, 81, died Thursday, Feb. 19, at his home in Eagle Creek.
A gathering of friends and family will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 27, at his home.
Carl was born Jan. 28, 1928, in Moscow, Idaho, to Guy and Elizabeth (Crowell) Ruddell, the youngest of 11 children. He was raised mostly in Idaho and was drafted into the Army in the 1940s. After his discharge, he moved to the Portland area.
On Dec. 24, 1949, he married Alvera M. Berquist in Vancouver, Wash. They made their home in Gresham and were married for 30 years. In 1982, Carl married Tressa “Terry” Knoper, whom he met while horseback riding.
Carl was a carpenter and worked for 35 years with E. Carl Schiewe Construction Company, retiring in 1989 as a construction superintendent. He was a longtime member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America.
Carl lived his life by his hands and was known for doing everything precise and for telling people how to build something “right” the first time. In later years, he enjoyed working with cows, teaching his dog tricks, watching hummingbirds, giving away vegetables from his prized garden and swimming in the Sandy pool. He and his wife, Terry, were members of the Territorial Riders of Clackamas County and the Oregon Equestrian Trails.
Terry preceded him in death in 1996.
Survivors include his daughters, Shirley Wright of Portland, Anna Bartnik of Washougal, Wash., Judy Herndon of Damascus, Patty Willbanks of Helena, Mont., Debbie Ziegler of Gresham, Wanda Ruddell-Parks of Eagle Creek and Janet Ruddell of Corbett; brother, Daniel Ruddell of Green Acres, Wash.; 19 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Herman Fredrick Meyer
March 5, 1910-Feb. 26, 2009
Gresham resident Herman Fredrick Meyer, 98, died Thursday, Feb. 26, at Fairlawn Good Samaritan Health Center.
A visitation will be held from noon to 6 p.m. Friday, March 6, at Bateman Carroll Funeral Home, 520 W. Powell Blvd. A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 7, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 39901 Pleasant St., Sandy. Interment will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Herman was born March 5, 1910, in Crofton, Neb., to John C. and Emma L. (Ahrndt) Meyer.
On Sept. 13, 1936, he married Wilma D. Scharich in Shields, N.D. They settled in Fishtail, Mont., and later moved to Portland in the mid-1940s. In 1964, they settled on their berry farm in Sandy. They moved to Gresham in 1989.
Herman worked at the shipyards and with Sunshine Dairy. He retired in 1971.
His granddaughter, Kristi Meyer, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife; son, Don Meyer of Gresham; daughter, Debra Pyryt of Sandy; brother, Lawrence Meyer of Auburn, Calif.; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Donna Helena Lembo
Feb. 22, 1947-March 1, 2009
Gresham resident Donna Helena Lembo, 62, died Sunday, March 1, in Portland.
A funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 5, at St. Henry Catholic Church, 346 N.W. First St.
Donna was born Feb. 22, 1947, in Plainfield, N.J., to Anthony and Eleanor (Nacovski) Perota. The family moved to the Bronx when Donna was a baby, but they returned to New Jersey when Donna was 14, and she graduated from Ridgefield Park High School.
In 1964, she married William Barido in New Jersey. They divorced in 1994.
Donna began her career in the retail management field in the late 1970s. She worked for several well-known clothiers in New Jersey and Oregon.
Donna moved to Gresham in 2006. She enjoyed antiquing, traveling and decorating, and she was devoted to her family and grandchildren. She loved the East Coast and the Jersey Shore.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Anthony Perota, in 1989; and by her granddaughter, Kayla Delaney, in 1997.
Survivors include her daughters, Lisa Delaney of New Cumberland, Pa., and Toni Ann Delgado of Gresham; son, William Barido of Ashland; sister, Ellen Thomas of Flemington, N.J.; brother, Robert Perota of Franklin Park, N.J.; and nine grandchildren.
