American Association of University Women, Gresham Area Branch — 6 p.m., Gresham Memorial Chapel, 257 S.E. Roberts Ave. The program is “Moving Our Schools Forward in Tough Times” with Kayla McGannon, East County organizer for Stand for Children. A potluck of salads and desserts will be provided. Key Conversation on Poverty — 6:30 p.m., Trinity Lutheran Church, 507 W. Powell Blvd. Members, which include local church leaders, social service agency leaders and community activists, meet to brainstorm about the local resources that are available to the community in an attempt to help eradicate poverty in East Multnomah County.
