A New Jersey-based company specializing in business records management is preparing to locate its first Pacific Northwest-based operations center in a Fairview business park.
Archive Systems Inc. of Fairfield, N.J., worked with Birtcher Development on a 10-year lease of 40,000 square feet of vacant warehouse space in Townsend Business Park off 203rd Avenue. The company, which provides electronic and physical storage management for a range of businesses, plans to be up and running by December, said Craig Abramson, the company’s online marketing manager.
Archive Systems is in the process of hiring approximately 10 employees, ranging from account representatives to truck drivers.
“We anticipate hiring 10,” he said. “We’re going through the process right now.”
The company found the Birtcher Center at Townsend Park location appealing for a variety of reasons, Abramson said. These include confidence in the Portland metro area’s market and the Northwest’s embrace of technology and sustainability. The latter is in line with the company’s “Go Green Initiative” to promote sustainability in its business practices, Abramson noted.
“We looked at a lot of locations in the area,” he said, “until we found one that best suited our needs and fit with our Go Green Initiative.”
