Beginning Crochet — 4 to 5 p.m. Thursdays through Dec. 17 (except Nov. 26), City Conference Building, 223 Buxton Ave., Troutdale. For ages 12 and older. Participants will complete three simple crochet projects that will demonstrate each peron’s ability to read and follow a simple pattern using chain stitch, single crochet, double crochet and slip stitch. Oil Painting Class — 5:30 to 9 p.m., City Conference Building, 223 Buxton Ave., Troutdale. For ages 15 and older. In this “Bob Ross” style of oil painting, you will start with a blank canvas and leave with a masterpiece. Taught by Judy Stubb and Pam Davis. Cost is $56 and includes all supplies. Mental Illness Support Group for Family Members — 6 to 7:30 p.m., Legacy Mount Hood Medical Center, Administrative Building, Columbia Room, 23800 S.E. Wrestling for Hunger — 8 p.m., NWWA Fight Factory, 4943 N.E. 105th Ave., Portland. Two professional wrestling groups will join forces for a 73-hour marathon event to raise food for the Oregon Food Bank. Continuous wrestling will go on until 9 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 24. Fans will see everything from old school chain wrestling to a softcore pillow match. If the wrestlers are able to keep wrestling the entire 73 hours, they will break a Guinness World Record.
