THURSDAY, MARCH 11

Tiny Tots Class and Skate – 9:30 to 11 a.m., Gresham Skate World, 1220 N.E. Kelly Ave. Cost is $3.75. With every paid admission, one parent can skate free. Call 503-667-1647 for information.

Homeschool Skate – 1 to 3 p.m., Gresham Skate World, 1220 N.E. Kelly Ave. Cost is $3.75. Open to homeschoolers of all ages. Call 503-667-1647 for information.

Bingo Night Fundraiser for Sandy Sliderz – 5:30 p.m., Naas Elementary School, 12240 S.E. School Ave., Boring. This fundraiser, benefiting the Sandy Sliderz 14U Softball Team, will include a dinner buffet and dessert from Olive Garden at 5:30 p.m. and seven games of bingo starting at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $12 per person, $5 for children ages 13 and under or $35 for a family of five people. Mental Illness Support Group for Family Members – 6 to 7:30 p.m., Legacy Mount Hood Medical Center, Administrative Building, Columbia Room, 23800 S.E. Stark St. A drop-in group for family members of people who have a mental illness to share their stories and find support. No registration needed. For information, call Lin at 503-492-1229. Sponsored by NAMI of Multnomah County.

Adult Basketball – 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., Sweetbriar Elementary Gym, 502 Sweetbriar Lane, Troutdale. For ages 18 and up. Pick-up games of basketball for adults. Free. Closed on school holidays.

Retro Jam Skate – 6:30 to 9:30 p.m., Gresham Skate World, 1220 N.E. Kelly Ave. Cost is $4.75. Skate to the hit songs of the ‘70s, ‘80s and ‘90s. Call 503-667-6543 for information.

Young Onset Parkinson’s Disease Support Group – 7 p.m., near Southeast 185th Avenue and Division Street. People with Parkinson’s disease and their caregivers can benefit from the shared experiences of others in a supportive environment. Open to patients, caregivers, family members and friends. FRIDAY, MARCH 12

Friday Night Basketball – 7:30 to 9 p.m., Walt Morey Middle School, 2801 S.W. Lucas Drive, Troutdale. For ages 12-17. Participants must be dressed to play basketball or will not be permitted in gym. Bring identification. Supervised by Troutdale Police and sponsored by Troutdale Recreation. Closed on school holidays.

SATURDAY, MARCH 13

Columbia Slough 101 – 8:45 a.m. to 1 p.m., Multnomah County Drainage Districts, 1880 N.E. Elrod Drive, Portland. Learn about the history, wildlife and water flow of the Columbia Slough, which flows past Portland and East County, at this hands-on workshop with experts. Includes a tour of a pump station and a water bug discovery. Suitable for adults and teens. Light refreshments will be provided. Free. To register, visit columbiaslough.org or call 503-281-1132.

MOMS Club Scrapbooking Fundraiser – 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., First Baptist Church of Gresham, 224 W. Powell Blvd. Sponsored by the MOMS Club of Gresham. This event will include a raffle, silent auction and doorprizes. Call Kristina Opp at 503-806-3686 for information and tickets.

Guide Dogs for the Blind Graduation Ceremony – 1:30 p.m., Guide Dogs for the Blind, 32901 S.E. Kelso Road, Boring. Guide Dogs for the Blind will graduate a new class of people and dogs who have completed the in-residence training program. The general public is also invited to attend.
