Picture Your Parks — Grab your camera and help document a day in the life of Gresham Parks. It’s your chance to show Gresham’s playgrounds, natural areas and trails the way you see and experience them — the kids, the wildlife, even maintenance issues like tall grass or graffiti. Prizes will be awarded for top photos. To qualify, all photos must be taken on Aug. 1 within the Gresham Parks System. Entry and submission information is at GreshamOregon.gov. National Night Out in Fairview — 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., Fairview Community Park on Northeast Village Street, Fairview. National Night Out is a crime and drug prevention event that is sponsored by Fairview Police Department and the National Association of Town Watch. Special features include free food and drink, prize raffles, demonstrations and information from DEA, FBI and ATF agents, emergency vehicles on scene, blood drives, a watermelon eating contest and a dunk tank. National Night Out in Rockwood — 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., Vance Park, 1300 S.E. 182nd Ave. This Rockwood event is the largest in East County. Citizen groups and the city of Gresham are partnering to provide many features: free barbecue and ice cream, live music, games and raffles, free bicycle helmets and safety oriented prizes, health screenings and disc golf. Local businesses and service providers will be in attendance.
Senior Stroll at Glendoveer Fitness Trail — 10 a.m. to noon, Glendoveer Golf Course, parking lot on 148th Avenue and Halsey Street. Stroll through the woods along this 2-mile fitness trail, which runs along the eastern perimeter of the golf course.

Open Garden Tour — 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., Legacy Mount Hood Medical Center, Healing Garden, 24800 S.E. Stark St. Learn about Mount Hood’s Memory Garden, which provides a therapeutic retreat for patients, families and hospital staff. This free event, open to all, will feature garden tours, education, artist demonstrations and sales, nature activities, music and information about volunteering in the garden.
