Book Babies – 10:15 to 11 a.m., Gresham Library, 385 N.W. Miller Ave. Storytime for children up to 12 months old with an adult.

Preschool Storytime – 10:30 to 11:15 a.m., Gresham Library, 385 N.W. Miller Ave. Storytime for children 3 to 6 years old with an adult.

Teen Crew – 3:30 to 5:30 p.m., Rockwood Library, 17917 S.E. Stark St. Need community service hours and volunteer credit? Come for a two-hour block of fun, music, snacks and enough work to keep busy. Register online, in the library or call 503-988-5234.

SATURDAY, MARCH 20

Family Storytime – Noon to 12:30 p.m., Rockwood Library, 17917 S.E. Stark St. Storytime for children ages 6 and younger with an adult. Call 503-988-5387 for information.

Talk Time – 3 to 4:30 p.m., Rockwood Library, 17917 S.E. Stark St. An informal time for non-native speakers to practice speaking English. Meet new people, share your culture and have fun. Only English will be spoken.

Open swimming and recreation

The following swimming pools are open to residents and visitors.

The Mt. Hood Aquatic Center on the campus of Mt. Hood Community College, 26000 S.E. Stark St. Drop-in cost is $4.50 for adults, $3.25 for seniors and children and free for MHCC students and staff. Punch cards are available. For more information, call 503-491-7243.

Closed March 22-27 for spring break.

• Adult Lap Swim – 5:45 to 7:15 a.m. and noon to 1 p.m. Monday through Friday. Learner, 25-yard and 50-meter pools.

• Community Open Recreation Swim – 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Fridays. Outdoor 50-meter and learner pools are open. Lap swim lanes available.

• Adult Lap Swim – 5:30 to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday. Learner and 25-yard pools open from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., and 50-meter pool open from 6 to 7 p.m.

• Community Open Recreation Swim – 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Fridays and 1 to 4 p.m. Saturdays.

• Lap Swimming – 5:45 to 7:45 a.m. Monday through Thursday; 7:30 to 9 a.m. Monday through Friday; 11:20 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Friday; 7:45 to 8:45 p.m. Monday and Wednesday; and 11 a.m. to noon Saturday. Admission is $3.

• Public Recreation Swim – 1 to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. Cost is $3 per person.

• Open Swim – 7:30 to 9 p.m. Fridays. Cost is $4 per person.

• Family Swim – 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Saturdays. Cost is $5 for families and $3 for individuals.
