Do you know a young person who goes above and beyond? A student who puts the needs of others before themselves, or someone who has overcome hardship but still perseveres to make a difference in their community?
If so, please nominate them today as one of our 2023 Amazing Kid honorees.
This will be the 10th year that the Pamplin Media Group has honored outstanding kids from our coverage areas from across the state and features them in a special publication that honors local youths for the work they do to make our communities a better place to live.

Since 2014, the Pamplin Media Group has honored more than 275 Amazing Kids who inspire others through their examples.
Last year, the Pamplin Media Group honored 28 Amazing Kids. Now, it’s time to do it again.
Being named as one Pamplin Media Group’s Amazing Kids is a big deal. The Amazing Kids publication is inserted into all 18 Pamplin Media Group weekly newspapers the week of May 17. It’s also shared online and through our weekly email newsletters, collectively reaching more than 1.2 million readers.
The deadline for nominations is Friday, March 24.
While the nominee may be skilled in academic studies, sports, dance, music or other disciplines, community service will be one of the primary criteria we’ll consider.
Nominees can be enrolled as a student at a private, public or charter school, or be home-schooled, but they must be in elementary, middle or high school and they must live within one of the Pamplin Media Group’s coverage areas.
